I’m a science and tech journalist based in NYC. I’m currently freelancing after leaving a job as senior writer on staff with TechMediaNetwork, where much of my past brain sweat went into hundreds of news articles for websites such as TechNewsDaily, InnovationNewsDaily (merged with TechNewsDaily), LiveScience and SPACE.com. My master’s in journalism is from NYU’s Science, Health and Environmental Reporting Program. I have written for Popular Science, Astrobiology Magazine, Reader’s Digest Asia, Scientific American, Scientific American Mind, IEEE Spectrum and other publications. You can see some sample stories here.
I also honed my interest in science journalism during my undergrad years at the University of Pennsylvania, where I majored in History and Sociology of Science.
My writing focus tends to drift toward technology these days, but I reserve a great fondness for the science of storytelling. I’m still just an apprentice when it comes to storytelling, but am working on becoming a full-fledged wordsmith. You can follow the progress @jeremyhsu or at https://www.facebook.com/sciencehsu.
